2010 is the year of the Tiger, and to celebrate this event, a friend and I visited Newcastle's "Chinatown". There were a lot of things going on, there was the traditional dragon dance and firecracker display but there was also chinese cuisine available and chinese dancing exhibitions.I must say I was thoroughly enjoying myself, apart from all the people who had brought screaming children to the event, not to enjoy the culture but to waste time on a Sunday, for me this spoilt the day and got on my nerves when I saw people sitting in the chinese restaurants eating plates of chips!
If I worked in that restaurant I'd be so insulted! Anyway, it was a really fun day regardless of the chavs, and it is certainly something I will do again in the future.
Here are a few pictures, including a picture of my special Tiger make-up that I would like to share! I got the idea for this make-up from a Michelle Phan tutorial available on YouTube.

On a seperate note, it's also Valentines Day, so if you're reading this, how did you celebrate it?What would be your dream Valentines Day?
