If You're Dying Extensions...

Hair extensions are getting so popular these days, and those of us who can't afford to have the fixed extensions can have the clip in ones.

I've been a fan of these for a few years now, they can really change your look instantly and there are so many available everywhere nowadays.

So, this week I faced a dilemma with some hair dye. I was trying to go only 1 shade darker, but ended up going several. And the problem is, my extensions were a very light brown, so I had to either dye them, or buy a new set.

Obviously the former is a much cheaper alternative. But I didn't want to buy a hair colourant which was going to really damage my extensions.

*Light Bulb Moment!*

I knew that Superdrug have these wash in/wash out colours that are really inexpensive (97p!) so I thought they would be a much better way of darkening my extensions.

The great thing about this product was that it was so easy to use, quick to apply and quick to set into the hair. (They reccomend 5 minutes but I did two 5 minute applications to get the desired colour)

The great thing about this is, it will last a long time as I rarely wash my extensions. You don't need to unless you lather on the hairspray and wax. Washing your extensions regurlarly will really only dry them out.

So, my beauty tip today is, if you need to dye your hair extensions, try a wash in and wash out product like Superdrug Colour Effects.
